Indianapolis Public Library - Brightwood

The Brightwood Branch Library has served the residents in the Brightwood-Martindale community since 1901 and was the sixth public library to open in Indianapolis. In April 2020, the Brightwood Branch Library will open the doors of its new, 15,000-sq.-ft. building directly across Sherman Drive from the current library's location at Sherman and 25th Street. The new library's name will be changed to the Martindale-Brightwood Branch Library to better reflect its mission to serve the residents of all ages in both the Martindale and Brightwood neighborhoods.
