We improve the lives of individuals with physical, cognitive and/or emotional disabilities through equine assisted activities and therapies. Horses offer tremendous benefit to these individuals, under the guidance of our trained and experienced instructors. Whether in the saddle or from the ground, our participants experience increased well-being and enjoyment through our programs.

Morning Dove Therapeutic Riding, Inc. has been serving the greater Indianapolis community with equine-assisted therapies and activities since 1998. Located in the heart of horse country in Central Indiana, Morning Dove Therapeutic Riding, Inc. began offering therapeutic riding lessons to a handfull of participants in our founders’ backyard. Through the years, we have remained true to our mission; to enhance the lives of individuals in Central Indiana with physical, cognitive, and/or emotional disabilities through equine-assisted therapies and activities. The families we help count on us to deliver.

Our riders range in age from 4 years to 80+. They are with us to address challenges ranging from emotional trauma to cognitive or developmental challenges to a host of physical disabilities. Riders are referred to Morning Dove through teachers, physicians, friends, or through a host of other partners. Our team of hero horses are specially selected and trained for this unique work.

Equine assisted therapy enhances and can transcend traditional types of therapies, and we are honored to come alongside your family with and through the special needs journey.

Therapeutic Riding, Therapeutic Horsemanship - 45 minute group (3 riders) or 30 minute private lessons led by instructors following PATH standards and protocols.
