Founded in 1962, Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory School is a coeducational, Jesuit, Catholic, college preparatory high school serving more than 800 students in grades 9–12 in Indianapolis, Indiana. As the only Jesuit school in Indiana, Brebeuf is part of a global network of Jesuit education committed to forming young people who are intellectually competent, open to growth, loving, religious, and committed to promoting justice. Located on Indianapolis’ northwest side, Brebeuf offers a rigorous and highly personalized educational experience distinguished by a 12:1 student-faculty ratio, more than 40 Honors, AP, and Dual Credit courses, and a faculty deeply committed to the intellectual, personal, and spiritual development of each student. Guided by the spirituality of St. Ignatius of Loyola, Brebeuf’s mission is to provide an excellent college preparatory education for a lifetime of service by forming leaders who are intellectually competent, open to growth, loving, religious, and committed to promoting justice. The school fosters a culture of understanding and dialogue and welcomes students from diverse religious, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Rooted in cura personalis, or care for the whole person, Brebeuf calls students to discover and cultivate the fullness of their God-given talents and become men and women for others.

Brebeuf is a vibrant school community where academic excellence is complemented by extensive opportunities for faith formation, service, leadership, athletics, and co-curricular engagement. Students participate in more than 40 co-curricular clubs and 38 sports and athletic teams, contribute more than 10,000 hours of community service, and engage in retreats and other experiences that invite them to explore questions of faith, purpose, and responsibility. Together, these opportunities reflect the Jesuit commitment to educating the whole person, and preparing graduates not simply for college, but for lives of servant leadership.
