Columbian Park Zoo offers a summer full of learning fun with Zoo Camps! Camps begin June 2 with weekly themed day camp offerings each week. Age groups are 5-7, 8-11 and 12-14 years. Discover your WILD side at Zoo Camps! Each Zoo Camp is a stand-alone session, based on a popular nature-based theme. Camps are educational, encouraging active learning through games, crafts, age-appropriate science explorations, and hands-on encounters with a variety of live Animal Ambassadors. Rich in STEM-based activities, these camps engage the natural curiosity in a child and allow ample opportunity to practice critical emerging science skills. Learning has never been so much fun!

Week 2: Underwater Wonders Studio Explore ocean animals, coral reefs, underwater habitats, and sensory sea-inspired art through sculpture, painting, texture, and mixed media. General Camp Description Our summer art camps run for 4 exciting days, Monday through Thursday, and are designed for young artists ages 5–12 (children age 4 are welcome when registered with an older sibling). Each week is a hands-on, immersive creative experience where kids explore art through building, painting, sculpting, designing, and imaginative play. Campers are encouraged to experiment, follow their ideas, and create in a supportive, welcoming environment—no matter their skill level. Surrounded by peers who are just as excited to make art, children gain confidence as they problem-solve, try new materials, and inspire one another. Every camp features a unique theme, a wide variety of art materials and creative processes, and time to move, play, and enjoy being together.
