The festival features live entertainment at two different stage locations, a cheer garden offering beer, pretzels, treats and kid-friendly refreshments, and a whimsical garden of remarkable topiaries fit for a Zoo. Natural décor depicting animals like elephants, giraffes, bears, butterflies and dolphins will wow you. Fun times await your kiddos including large outdoor musical instruments, animal matching games and creative crafts like a fun springtime pinwheel to catch the season’s breeze.

At the Perch, under the cover of the Bicentennial Pavilion, you may meet some of our cool animals including birds, turtles or even a sea lion. Learn all about pollinators and take part in a scavenger hunt in the White River Gardens. While enjoying the gardens, make sure to stop in to see Butterfly Kaleidoscope in the Hilbert Conservatory. Unique butterfly species native to exotic locations around the world will engage you with their beauty.

During xZOOberance, you’ll have a first chance to experience the new dolphin presentation. We’ll take you deep into the wondrous and inspiring world under water and you’ll hear how Central Indiana families are dedicated to small and easy actions that help keep our oceans healthy for dolphins in the wild. You’ll walk away inspired and enlightened.

As you can see, we are turning up the heat on springtime fun. So, if you are tired of winter, come to the Zoo and be exuberant at xZOOberance! The festival runs 9am-5pm Thursdays through Sundays, March 21-24, 28-31 and April 4-7. See you there!
