Van Gogh's Apprentice: Painting on Canvas and Impressionistic Self-Portraits

This is two workshops combined: Van Gogh's Apprentice- Painting on Canvas & Beginning Painting - Impressionists Self Portraits. Students will study Van Gogh's art and will work on two painting projects. Project one will be a recreation of one of Van Gogh's paintings. Project two will be an impressionistic self-portrait. At the end of the week, the students will have 2 marvelous works of art inspired by Van Gogh!

Class Requirements
- Students must be able to work independently and behave appropriately in a specialized studio art classroom. If your child has a special circumstance, please contact us prior to registering.
- Experienced art staff will coach students on techniques throughout the course.
Sample Class Format
Daily:
- 55 minutes on project one.
- 10 minute break.
- 55 minutes on project two.
What To Bring
- Students should bring a water bottle and snack each day for breaktime in the middle of the workshop.
