Toddler Time (ages 18-36 months) - Indiana State Museum

Even the littlest learner can find fun at the Indiana State Museum. In this special class just for toddlers, children enjoy circle time, stories, station explorations and movement time. Through play, children learn problem-solving, social-emotional and communication skills, as well as develop their fine and gross motor skills. Ticket price is $11/child, adults free with paid child, 25% discount for members. Each child must be accompanied by an adult.

APRIL - TRANSPORTATION EXPLORATION

Let’s have some messy fun by exploring the colors of the rainbow and experimenting with mixing colors.
JULY – WACKY WATER
This is what you get when you mix water with sensory play, art creation and science experiments.
AUGUST – USING OUR SENSES
Explore and investigate with your senses. Create a textured art piece, experiment with light and smells, and join in an interactive story time.
SEPTEMBER – SPACE EXPLORATION
Ready to explore all things space? Create starry art, check out the planet sensory play stations and get a little messy with some slimy experiments.
OCTOBER – A NOT SO SPOOKY EXPLORATION
Get ready for some not-so-spooky Halloween entertainment! Check out spooky sensory play, make your own pumpkin art and listen in on a lively and not-so-frightful story time.
NOVEMBER – FALL FUN
Investigate the changing and chilly weather through hands-on experiments, an interactive story time and more.
DECEMBER – WINTER INVESTIGATION
Brrr! Discover why winter is so cold through icy sensory stations, making your own snow-inspired art creation and enjoying a cool story.
JANUARY – FOREST ANIMALS
What animals call forests home? Find out as we learn about woodland creatures, get a little wild during sensory play and create a collaborative art project.
FEBRUARY – MY EMOTIONS
Learn all about your emotions while listening to an interactive story time and discovering through hands-on STEAM-inspired activities.
MARCH – BUGS, BUTTERFLIES AND INSECTS, OH MY!
Investigate bugs, butterflies and other small critters while conducting bug-inspired experiments, creating butterfly art and more.
APRIL – MOTHER EARTH
Celebrate Earth Day by creating flower art and getting a little messy with other activities.
MAY – LIFE UNDER THE SEA
Discover the plants and animals that live under the water. Create a magnificent watercolor painting, have fun with some sea sensory play stations and more.
