My First Pet: Roly Polies - At Eagle Creek Park

Has your child been asking for a pet? They may want a dog, cat, or rabbit of their own. These pets require a lot of space, a lot of time, and can cost a substantial amount of money to care for. If you and your child aren't quite ready for that responsibility, there is another option...
Pet roly polies!
Roly polies take up minimal space, don't need vet visits, don't require a lot of time to care for them, and have a low budget for food expenses. They will even eat some of your kitchen scraps! Roly polies can be left at home if you go out of town for a few days or they can easily travel with you!

During this 1-hour program you and your child will learn about roly polies, build a suitable habitat for them (you'll get 2), learn how to care for them, and receive an adoption certificate for your new pets.
Masks are required to participate in this program. Each family will be seated at their own socially-distanced table at Shelter A in Eagle Creek Park. A family can adopt one roly poly habitat to share or each child may register for their own habitat. At least one adult must stay with each family.
