Exploring Art through American Art History

This camp will introduce the young artist to several pieces of the American canon. Students will observe the techniques used in these pieces and then integrate these techniques into their own artistic practice (e.g. cubism, luminism, pop art, etc). Students will use nature from the property as inspiration for implementation of the techniques they learn during Art History Exploration. Outdoor activities are subject to weather.
Pending enrollment, students may explore traditional American forms of movement (e.g. square dancing, line dancing, etc.) as a supplemental exploratory activity.
An evening gallery reception will be held in the Grand Little Barn at 6 PM on June 28; children can stay on Friday evening until the reception.
