4-H MIGHTY MONDAY - JOURNEY TO THE STARS

Join the Monroe County 4-H program as we explore the starry skies above us here on Earth! Participants will dive into the world of astronomy, as we identify and learn about the origins of common constellations in the sky. We will also take a look at our closest neighbor, the moon, and learn about its different phases. All are welcome. Membership in 4-H not required.

Participants will dive into the world of astronomy, as we identify and learn about the origins of common constellations in the sky. We will also take a look at our closest neighbor, the moon, and learn about its different phases. Participants can follow along to make two fun, hands-on projects with common materials found at home.
To follow along at home, participants will need:

Pringles can (a cardboard tube will work, too)

construction paper (2 sheets black, 1 sheet yellow, 1 sheet color of choice)

scissors
-
tape
-
2 clear plastic cups
-
Sharpie or other marker (that writes on plastic)

needle, pin, etc. (something to poke small holes in paper)
All are welcome. Membership in 4-H not required.
