Indiana Rocks

*The event has already taken place on this date: Fri, 06/01/2018
Have you ever wondered why Indiana has so many fossils, why limestone is our state stone, or why no one has found a dinosaur bone (yet) in Indiana? Grab your gloves and a trowel and travel back to a time before humans inhabited Indiana, and discover what stories Indiana’s rocks and fossils can tell us. Become a paleontologist or geologist for the week and discover Ice Age animals, amazing geological specimen, and ancient sea fossils. Excavate an Ice Age site, hunt for microfossils, and learn about the formation of rocks and minerals in Indiana.
